Five to nine in the morning, every day — that's the entire window at San Pedro East Elementary School in Barangay San Pedro, East Rosales. Four courts, some indoor and some outdoor, and not a peso to play.

It's a schedule built for people who play before work. Four hours, all of them before the heat sets in, which for the outdoor courts is a genuine advantage.

Rosales is well stocked for its size: four of Northern Luzon's 14 listed venues sit here. LGU Covered Court is under two kilometres away, Rosales South Central School about the same, and Escuela de San Antonio roughly six — worth knowing, since a 9am cutoff leaves most of the day uncovered.
